Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality Continues to Bring VR Glasses to Rural Children

Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality continues to introduce virtual reality glasses to rural children. Until today, the Metropolitan Municipality has visited 20 rural neighborhoods in 10 districts and brought children together with virtual reality glasses. The children first met Atatürk and his comrades-in-arms on the Bandırma Ferry and then experienced the excitement of Roller Coaster.

Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality Department of Information Technologies teams continue to introduce virtual reality to children with VR glasses in rural neighborhoods throughout the summer. So far, the Metropolitan Municipality has visited 2 rural neighborhoods each in İvrindi, Kepsut, Savaştepe, Bigadiç, Dursunbey, Susurluk, Manyas, Altıeylül, Havran and Gönen and made the children of 20 neighborhoods travel with Atatürk and his comrades-in-arms on the Bandırma Ferry,  also experienced the excitement of Roller Coaster. The children, who had never encountered virtual glasses before, experienced virtual glasses for the first time and had a fun and productive time. The Metropolitan Municipality will continue to bring virtual reality glasses to rural children throughout the summer.

''IT IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR THE PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT OF CHILDREN''

Expressing that they enjoyed the activities very much, the children were very happy with the activities. Hasanbey Neighborhood Headman Özgür Aksakal, who stated that the event was very useful for children, said: “I would like to thank your department and Mayor Ahmet Akın for organizing this event. The children are happy, and it is very important for the personal development of them. I would like to thank our mayor Ahmet Akın especially for what he has done for people.”

'IT MOTIVATED OUR CHILDREN'

Stating that rural neighborhoods are in great need of such events, Abdullah Şahin, Imam of Tütüncü Neighborhood Mosque, said, “We appreciate you very much for organizing such an event for the current summer Qur'an Course students. We would also like to thank the Mayor of Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality and your staff. It was a nice activity for our children, it was a motivation for our children after their lessons. Both our students and we are very pleased, thank you very much.”
